Making Dinner Time a Little more Fun

Adele makes dinner so much fun! and sometimes a little extra work afterwards. I've told Allison several times that if we had a house pig, he'd be set for life.

Arlington River and Rails 5k!

Today is overcast, the temperature is around 50 degrees, perfect for a race! And the results; Benjamin Crockett 6th place overall, 1st place in the 20-29 age category......! I felt pretty good about my time, a little over a 7 minute mile, most of my competition consisted of extremely heathly 30-50 year olds.

Life

Not all of our plants have survived, I've either over watered them, underprotected them, or simply didn't come up with a succesful growing plan. This plant however started as a small ?(mother's day gift from one of Allison's Visiting Teachers). Now it has really taken off. This particular day we had lined up some nectarines on the window seal to soak in sunlight. It was a great picture of the plant I had repotted and strengthened several weeks previously.

Costco....Family Home Evening Treat!

So once in a while we treat ourselves to a tasty dog at Costco....Tonight we found our way to the local store and with some of our accumulated change splurged:)

Adele enjoyed samples of salmon, turkey bacon, and toast with fresh jam. Not a bad meal for our little pixie.

Can you belive Costco has kept their Hot Dog Combo at the same price for 18 years! What a Deal.

Afterwards we returned to our cozy apartment and had a wonderful lesson.

Crockett Family at Cascade Lake

I don't think heaven is too far away when we can all actually be together for a reunion.

In some ways it seems like just yesterday Nancy and I were getting up to go to seminary, or Dad and I were leaving on a hunting trip, or all of us were at home noisely awaiting Mom to place the last dish on the table so we could pray and eat and stake our claim to the best dish on the table. Yet, there are days when I feel like it's been so long since I've seen everyone, and when I realize that over the last 10 years our time together has been so sparse.

Cascade lake

The McLaughlins and Childs brought two small rafts that provided all the boating necessary for the family. Sweet little Adele was thrilled to go for a professionally guided ride on the lake, in her perfectly fitting life-jacket.....Mom of course was the pilot.

July 4th Fireworks

Allison, Adele, Grandpa, and Grandma and I went to CSI in Twin Falls for the 4th Fireworks. Adele had a swell time and absolutely loved the fireworks....

Adele summer vacation at the Ranch.....

So Adele has me wrapped around her finger and I like taking pictures. Allison and I stopped at Denny's in Pendleton, Oregon on the way to Boise, Idaho. The sun was setting and Adele was happily out of the car walking around the parking lot.

Later on the same trip she was sharing her feelings for Lobo with a sweet hug, she feels the same way about nearly every dog or cat she's met so far.
